Skyline Conference Releases 2020 Spring Preseason Polls

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released Preseason Coaches Polls for its five spring sports on Thursday and Friday, February 20 and 21.

Faring best among the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) contingent were the softball and women's lacrosse teams, which both finished third in their respective sports.

The softball team finished last season in second place but was eliminated on day two of the double-elimination Skyline Conference Championship tournament The women's lacrosse team's 2019 season ended in the semifinal round of the Skyline Conference Championship after securing the third seed in the tournament.

Both the baseball and men's lacrosse teams were selected to finish in sixth place in their polls. Baseball finished in fifth place in 2019 and was eliminated in the first round of the Skyline Championship while the men's lacrosse team took fourth place and earned a conference playoff bid for the first time in history. The Golden Eagles dropped a semifinal contest to eventual champions SUNY Maritime.

Men's tennis, slotted in at seventh place in this year's poll, went 1-6 in conference in 2019 and will challenge for a playoff spot in 2020.
