61 SJC Student-Athletes Land on Skyline’s Fall ‘15 Academic Honor Roll

New York, NY| A total of 61 St. Joseph’s College (L.I.) student-athletes were named to the Skyline Conference Fall 2015 Academic Honor Roll, as announced by Commissioner Linda Bruno on Friday morning. Of the 11 member institutions, St. Joseph’s ranked second in total honorees, trailing only Yeshiva University (72).

The Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who earned a 3.3 grade point average while competing in men’s and women’s cross country, men’s golf, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s tennis or women’s volleyball during the fall 2015 semester. In total, 447 student-athletes were honored throughout the conference.

All seven SJC fall sports program received selections, with women’s soccer (17) garnering the most. Women’s cross country (11) and men’s soccer (10) rounded out the top three.

"The Skyline Conference’s student-athletes continue to exemplify development and dedication to their studies and their sports," said Commissioner Bruno. "I am proud to recognize these bright young men and women, whose academic performance is a shining example and in line with the NCAA Division III Philosophy Statement."
