Equestrian Earns Second-Straight Second-Place Finish

Melville, NY| The fifth show of the fall season was hosted by Hofstra University at Country Farms in Medford on Sunday, November 1.

After being tied with NYU all day it came down to the final class with NYU coming in first as High Point Team with 40 points and the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) equestrian as Reserve High Point Team with 37 points.

All of the Golden Eagles did a fantastic job with numerous first place ribbons, but most notably was freshman Nicole Scotto with 2 first place ribbons from her flat and fences class awarding her a ride-off for High Point Champion.After a series of questions given to her and NYU rider Camilla Jorst, the judge reined Scotto as the Champion.

It was a fantastic day for all members of the team, who have helped keep the Golden Eagles in first place with an overall total of 166 points this season, and NYU in second with 149 points.

The team is looking forward to the last show of the season hosted by LIU Post at North Shore Equestrian Center in Greenvale, NY on Sunday, November 8.
