Alec Tabada Named Skyline Rookie of the Week

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and amongst the winners was freshman Alec Tabada, who was named Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week. Additionally, sophomre Lanyah Ford appeared on the Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll.

Alec Tabada (Fr.) - Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Tabada scored a team-high 19 points on 8-for-11 shooting from the field in an 88-79 loss at Old Westbury on January 8. The forward also pitched in with 11 rebounds for his third double-double of the season and added four assists, three steals and two blocks. Tabada is Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.

Lanyah Ford (So.) - Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Ford tallied a team-best 21 points on 7-for-15 shooting in SJC's 71-65 win at USMMA on January 6. The guard was also credited with five rebounds and two steals and hit four of eight three-point attempts.
