Men's Golf Takes Third at Farmingdale St. Invitational on Friday

Farmingdale, NY|  The St. Joseph's (L.I.) men's golf team finished in third place in the first round of the Skyline Conference qualifier at the Farmingdale St. Invitational, held at Bethpage State Park, the Red Course on Friday morning.

The Golden Eagles shot a total of 314 (+34) placing them in third place in the five-team field.

Farmingdale State posted a 289 (+9), and was nine strokes ahead of Mount St. Mary College who posted a 298 (+18), which was good enough for second place.

Freshman Michael Nadaeu led the team with a final score of 72 (+2), which was good enough for fifth place.  Patrick Standard rounded out the top ten for SJC, improving his score from last year (82), as he finished eight strokes over par (78).

Evan Scheuch and Dan McNamara turned in strong rounds as well placing a 13th and 17th place finish with scores of 80 and 84 respectively.

Brandon Hauser earned his best finish of the year earning a spot in the top-20 as he shot an 87 on the day.

The Golden Eagles will next tee off on Friday, October 7th when they travel to Newburgh, NY for the Mount St. Mary Invitational.
