Men's Soccer Drops Skyline Contest to Sarah Lawrence

Bronxville, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 Skyline Conference deicision at Sarah Lawrence on Saturday evening.

The loss sees the Golden Eagles drop to 2-10-1 overalll on the year and 2-5-1 in Skyline play as the Gryphons improve to 6-8-1 (3-5-1 Skyline).

Sarah Lawrence opened the scoring just 1:10 in the contest when Tristan Moehs scored his third goal of the season but the guests knotted the score up at one nine minutes later when Damian Duda scored off a through ball from Rayneri Ruiz.

Moehs' second of the afternoon in the 21st minute ensured the hosts entered the break up 2-1 and Owen Smith's 67th-minute goal on the other side of the break clinched a 3-1 win for Sarah Lawrence. 

A chippy affair, eight toal cards were handed out in the contest including three red cards late in the second half. 

SJC outshot Sarah Lawrence 13-12 overall in the match and generated two corners while limiting the Gryphons to none. 

The Golden Eagles return to action on Wednesday, October 23 when they hosts Manhattanville for a Skyline Conference contest at 7:00 pm.
