Knights Top Men’s Tennis, 7-2

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's tennis team was handed a 7-2 defeat by Skyline Conference rival Mount St. Mary College in a home match on Monday evening.

With the loss the Golden Eagles fall to 0-3 on the year (0-2 Skyline) as the Knights improve to 5-5 (3-2 Skyline).

SJC wrapped up doubles play down 2-1 with the only victory coming via the second doubles duo of Peter Rasmussen and Tyler Yaskanich, who defeated Shane Terry and Chris Jaros 9-7.

In singles play SJC found its only win at #4 singles, when Yaskanich toppled Kyle McIntyre, 7-5, 6-1.

The Golden Eagles continue conference play on Tuesday, April 18 when the hit the road to face SUNY Purchase in a 3:30 pm match.
