Men's Tennis Falls to Purchase, 8-1

Purchase, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's tennis team was handed a 8-1 defeat by Skyline Conference rival SUNY Purchase in a road match on Tuesday evening.

With the loss the Golden Eagles fall to 0-4 on the year (0-3 Skyline) as the Panthers improve to 7-1 (4-1 Skyline).

SJC wrapped up doubles play down 2-1 with the only victory coming via the second doubles duo of Peter Rasmussen and Tyler Yaskanich, who defeated Finbar Stuart and James Ham 9-7.

The Golden Eagles dropped all six singles matches with Yaskanich faring best in a 6-4, 2-6, 8-10 loss to Danny De La Cruz.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Wednesday, April 19 when they visit York College for a non-conference match at 4:00 pm.
