Track and Field Participates in NJAC Indoor Championships

Staten Island, NY| The St. Joseph's College indoor track and field team competed at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships held at the Ocean Breeze Complex on Monday.

For the women, junior Meagan Haviland turned in times of 2:29.10 in the 800-meter and 11:30.12 in the 300-meter to finish in seventh and eighth place, respectively.

Sophomore Savanah McMaster recorded a personal best time of 8.51 in the 60-meter dash. The distance medley relay comprised of Nadine Keefer(1200m), Savannah McMaster(400m), Marlee Lopez(800m), and Emily Venturi (1600m/mile) finished seventh with a time of 14:15.54.

On the men's side, junior Jeremy Anderson placed eighth in the 500-meter coming in at 1:11.98. Senior Jayvid Parra turned in a personal-best time of 8.03 in the 60-meter dash. Freshmen James Malone (5:41.46) and Anthony Hristidis (10:15.25) both finished with personal bests in the mile and 3000-meter, respectively.

The Golden Eagles return to the track on Friday, March 6 when they compete at the ECAC Championships.
