Women's Basketball Earns Skyline Win over Sarah Lawrence

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's basketball team earned its first Skyline Conference win of the season with a 90-47 victory over Sarah Lawrence College on Tuesday evening in the Danzi Center.

The win moves the Golden Eagles to 3-10 on the season with a 1-7 mark in conference play. The Gryphons fall to 0-13 overall, 0-8 Skyline.

On a night where all five SJC starters scored in double digits, sophomore Megan Steinman led all players with 23 points on 9-for-19 shooting from the field.

Freshman Alyssa Adomaites finished with 17 points with a game-best six steals and five assists.

Senior Juliana Cintron-Leonardo (14 points, 13 rebounds) and sophomore Alyssa Signor (13 points, 10 rebounds) both finished with double-doubles as freshman Julianna Knice rounded out the top scorers with 12 points, seven boards, and three assists.

The Gryphons were led by Camryn Davis with a 20-point performance with Demitra Loukopoulos pitching in with 10 points.

SJC's Adomaites dropped in a three 16 seconds into the game and the Golden Eagles would go on to maintain a lead for the remainder of the game. After going into halftime ahead by 24, 43-19, a Steinman layup with 3:01 in the third gave the SJC their largest lead of the night at 70-21.

Despite Sarah Lawrence outscoring the hosts 21-15, the Golden Eagles cruised to a 90-47 win.

St. Joseph's outshot the Gryphons 44.9% to 31.7% from the field with a 38.1% to 6.3% advantage from three-point range.
