Women's Basketball Ends Season with Win over Yeshiva

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's basketball team closed out the 2019-20 season with an 84-75 win over Yeshiva University on Saturday evening.

Freshman Alyssa Adomaites paced the Golden Eagles with 27 points with five assists and six steals.

Sophomore Megan Steinman recorded a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Alyssa Signor dropped in 12 points with freshman Julianna Knice finishing with 10 points and six assists.

Yuval Nitzan led the Maccabees with 19 points and six assists. Tehilla Teigman pitched in with a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The Golden Eagles led from early on in the first and by as many as 17 in the third quarter. Yeshiva outscored St. Joseph's 26-21 in the fourth frame, but the Golden Eagles went on to capture the nine-point win.

SJC outshot the Maccabees 39.1% to 32.9% from the field with both teams finishing at 30.0% from three-point range.

The win moves the Golden Eagles to 9-16 on the year with a 7-13 record in Skyline play. The Maccabees slide to 7-18 overall, 4-16 Skyline.
