Women's Lacrosse Drops Non-Conference Contest

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's lacrosse team dropped an non-conference decision 11-8 to Stockton University at Danzi Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles even out at 3-3 on the season as the Osprey's improve to 6-2.

After 4-4 stalemate ended the first half, the visiting Osprey opened the second frame with three unanswered goals.

SJC's Tori Staker broke up the streak with her third goal of the day, but Stockton went on to score twice and jump ahead 9-5. The two sides exchanged goals down the stretch and the Ospreys went on to claim the 11-8 win.

SJC's Staker matched a game-high five goals with six draw controls and three groundballs. Nicole Stoppelli finished with one goal and one assist while scooping up five groundballs while causing three turnovers.

Stockton's Michelle Pascrell finished with six points on five goals and one assist. Gaby Ojeda pitched in with two goals and one assist.

The Osprey's outshot the Golden Eagles 37-21.

SJC's Lindsay Ramos recorded 11 saves with Stockton's Brook Hallett finishing with eight.

The Golden Eagles return to Skyline action on Tuesday, April 2 when they host SUNY Maritime at 7:00 pm.
