Four Golden Eagles Land on Skyline WLAX All-Conference First-Team

New York, NY| Seniors Samantha Caruso, Lindsay Ramos, and Nicole Stoppelli and junior Lauryn Gregson of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's lacrosse team all appeared on the Skyline All-Conference First-Team on Monday afternoon.

Stoppelli is a First-Team selection for the third-straight year after breaking the program's all-time points (283) and assists (130) records in 2019. The midfielder led the Golden Eagles in goals (46), assists (39) and points (85) and was the conference Player of the Week on March 4. She finished first in the conference in caused turnovers-per-game (2.43) and second in ground balls-per-game (4.07).

Ramos and Caruso scooped up First-Team honors for the first time in both of their careers. Ramos led the Skyline in saves-per-game (10.86), was second in save percentage (.508) and fourth in goals-against average (11.31). The keeper recorded her 500th career save in a 19-7 win over Mt. St. Vincent on April 11.

Caruso, a Second-Team selection in 2017, caused 13 turnovers and scooped up 26 ground balls in 2019.

Gregson garners First-Team honors for the second year running after scoring 24 goals and 10 assists for 34 points. The attack boasted a 50.0% shooting percentage and secured five draw controls.

SJC entered the Skyline Conference Championship as the third seed and was defeated by second-seeded Farmingdale State in the semifinal round on May 1.
