Gagliardi's Hat-Trick lifts Women's Soccer to Skyline win over Yeshiva

Purchase, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's soccer team opened up Skyline Conference play with a 9-0 win over Yeshiva College on Tuesday evening.

The Golden Eagles improve to 3-2-1 on the season with a 1-0 Skyline mark. The Maccabees fall to 1-7 overall, 0-4 Skyline.

Senior Christina Gagliardi led the Golden Eagles with nine points on the day courtesy of three goals and three assists. Sophomore Savannah McMaster finished with three points on a goal and an assist with senior Jessica Passabile recording two assists.

St. Joseph's wasted no time getting on the board when McMaster scored in the seventh minute of play. Minutes later, sophomore Amanda Fabris' unassisted tally moved the score to 2-0.

Back-to-back goals from Gagliardi increased the SJC lead to 4-0 before the senior dished off three straight assists to three different Golden Eagles, Fallon Schmidt, Carly Credidio, and Gianna Castilletti, to close the half with a 7-0 SJC lead.

Freshman Emily Ascoli and Gagliardi both found the back of the net in the second half to move the game to its final, 9-0.

SJC keeper Julianna Cintron-Leonardo recorded two saves with her counterpart Shani Kravetz finishing with 13.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Wednesday, September 18 when they travel to William Paterson University. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
