Women's Soccer Falls to William Paterson

Wayne, NJ| The St. Joseph's College women's soccer team dropped a non-conference contest, 7-0, to William Paterson University on Wednesday evening.

The Golden Eagles even out at 3-3-1 while the Pioneers improve to 4-1-1.

William Paterson jumped to an early lead with three goals in the opening 13 minutes of play. The Pioneers recorded a pair of goals later in the half to head into the break leading 5-0.

WPU's Marissa Adelman found the back of the net twice in the second half to bring the game to its final 7-0.

St. Joseph's Abbey Curcio was credited with both SJC's shots.

Goalkeeper Juliana Cintron-Leonardo finished with eight saves on the night with WPU's Brooke Sachau recording one.

The Golden Eagles resume Skyline Conference play on Saturday, September 21 when they travel to face SUNY Purchase. Game time is slated for 12:00 pm.
