Women's Soccer Topped by Sarah Lawrence, 3-1

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's soccer team suffered a 3-1 Skyline Conference defeat to Sarah Lawrence at Danzi Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles slide to 7-6-1 on the season with a 5-2-0 record in conference play. The Gryphons improve to 11-4-0 overall, 6-2-0 Skyline.

Sarah Lawrence got a little help from the Golden Eagle defense that led to goals by Niki Dalrymple and Lily Halloway to give the Gryphons a 2-0 through the first half.

The visitors extending its lead in the 72nd minute when Dalrymple recorded her second goal of the day.  Just over three minutes later, senior Christina Gagliardi finished a pass from Amanda Fabris for her 19th goal of the season, tying her own single-season goal record.

SJC's Juliana Cintron-Leonardo finished with four saves on the day with Sarah Lawrence's Emily Cornejo recording nine.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Tuesday, October 22 when they travel to face Manhattanville College. Game time is slated for 7:00 pm.
