Mullman, Baker Power Women’s Swimming on Senior Day

Patchogue, NY| Senior Samantha Mullman posted a pair of individual first-place finishes as the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's swimming team surged to a 129-32 Senior Day victory over St. Joseph's College (Brkln) inside the Danzi Center Pool on Saturday afternoon.

Mullman posted top times in both the 50-yard freestyle (26.99) and the 100-yard freestyle (1:00.07). Additionally, the senior was the anchor of the 200-yard medley relay team that set a new program record with a time of 2:02.05. Junior Marisa Tutone, freshman Meghan Skakandi and sophomore Julianna Kohlus rounded out the relay team.

Fellow senior Aileen Baker placed second in the 500-yard freestyle (6:32.18) and took first with the 200-yard freestyle relay team that posted a time of 2:00.42.

SJC took first place in all 11 events of the meet. Highlights included Junior Bella Peralta (2:25.62) in the 200-yard freestyle, junior Jordyn Cummings (2:53.75) in the 200-yard IM, Kohlus (1:06.40) in the 100-yard butterfly, Tutone (1:09.93) in the 100-yard backstroke and Skakandi (1:16.60) in the 100-yard breaststroke. 

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, January 11 when they visit Cedar Crest for a non-conference meet at 1:00 pm.
