Women's Tennis Clinches Playoff Spot on Senior Day

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's tennis team clinched a spot in the Skyline Conference playoffs with a 8-1 win over St. Joseph's College (Brklyn) late Tuesday night. The Golden Eagles cap off their 2016 regular season campaign 9-3 (6-1 Skyline), as the Bear finish the year 2-11 (1-6 Skyline).
Before the game the women's tennis team held a senior day ceremony for Erika Hesselbirg. Hesselbirg has been a part of the Golden Eagles for the past four years and has captained her team to a 9-3 record. The Shirley, NY boasts a 30-10 career singles record and was named to the Skyline All-Conference First-Team in 2014.
