Indoor Track Sets New School Record at DeSchriver Invitational

East Stroudsburg, PA| On Saturday, the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's and women's track and field teams competed at East Stroudsburg University's 17th Annual DeSchriver Invitational at Koehler Fieldhouse.
Earning a sixth-place finish for the women was Ashley Arquer with a 7.65 time in the 55 meter dash. Kelly Roberts had a fifth-place showing in the 1000-meter run with a 3:27.83 time.
The group of Amanda Sprague, Jennifer Holownia, Jessica Pierno and Arquer broke the school record in the 4x200, with a time of 1:52.15.
For the men, Daniel Antonawich broke the school record in the 55-meter high hurdles, clocking in with a time of 8.87. John Suchopar finished in fifth in the 1000 meter with a 2:52.78 effort.
Alex Becker participated in the weight toss and broke the school record, hurling the weight at a distance of 11.99m
SJC returns to action on Friday February 12, when both teams compete at the Molloy Invitational at St. Anthony's HS at 4 PM.
