Track and Field Competes at Ramapo Invitational

Mahwah, NJ| The St. Joseph's College (L.I) men's and women's track and field team traveled to Ramapo College this past weekend for the Roadrunner Invitational which was help on Friday and Saturday.

Josiah Hoshyla became SJC's first male pole-vaulter in program history with a third place 4.30 meter finish.

Chris Maher followed the record breaking performance with one of his own, tossing 39.46m in the hammer throw. 

Alex Becker broke another school record on the afternoon with a 10.98 meter toss in the shot put event.

Chris Corrao rounded out the school records tossing the javelin 45.01 meters.

On the women's side, Jessica Pierno broke the school record in the 100-meter high hurdle with a 17.93 finish.

Newcomer Mary Scott jumped for a program-best of 1.38 meters in the high jump.

Gabrielle Mason placed fourth in the pole vault with a 2.85 meter jump.

The Golden Eagles will travel back to New Jersey for the Osprey Open at Stockton University on Friday April 8.
