Women's Volleyball Sweeps Sarah Lawrence, 3-0

Bronxville, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's volleyball team earned a 3-0 Skyline Conference win over Sarah Lawrence College on Tuesday evening.

SJC improves to 4-9 on the season and 2-0 in Skyline play. SLC slides to 7-8 overall, 1-2 Skyline.

The Golden Eagles stormed to an early 2-0 match led with 25-12 and 25-14 wins in the first two sets before edging the Gryphons 25-23 in set three to complete the sweep.

Sophomore Amanda Goldstein led the Golden Eagles with seven kills while getting a hand in on three blocks. Junior Kaitlin Williams added six kills with six digs and freshman Lauren Harmer rounded out the top scorers with five kills.

Junior setter Brionna Silva dished a game-best 24 assists with senior libero Danielle Senecal finishing with 10 digs.

Melanie Coleman led Sarah Lawrence with a match-high 17 kills. Setter Isabel Pecora tossed 19 assists and Clarise Steiner recorded eight digs.

The Golden Eagles continue Skyline action on Thursday, October 3 when they host SUNY Old Westbury at 7:00 pm.
