Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's volleyball earned its second straight Skyline Conference sweep with a 3-0 win over SUNY Old Westbury in the Danzi Center on Thursday evening.
The Golden Eagles improve to 5-9 on the season with a 3-0 conference mark. The Panthers even out at 5-5 overall, 1-3 Skyline.
SJC took an early match lead with 25-14, 25-15 wins in sets one and two before completing the sweep with a 25-19 win in set three.
Sophomore Amanda Goldstein knocked down a match-high 12 kills with a .476 hitting percentage. Junior Jessica Young added nine kills with two blocks.
Junior setter Brionna Silva recorded a game-best 33 assists with libero Danielle Senecal finishing with nine digs.
Joelle Desrosiers led the Panthers with nine kills. Kyraleigh Zinnel tossed 12 assists and libero Hillary Bennett finished a game-best 10 digs.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, October 5 when they host Albertus Magnus and Brooklyn College. Game times are set for 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.
