Women's Volleyball Falls to CMSV, 3-1

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's volleyball team suffered a 3-1 Skyline Conference loss at the hands of the College of Mt. St. Vincent at the Danzi Center on Monday evening.

After dropping set one 25-18, the Golden Eagles came back and edged the Dolphins 26-24 in set two to even the match at one game apiece. CMSV opened the third set with an 8-0 run and went on to earn the 25-16 win before going on to secure the fourth set 25-17.

Junior Kaitlin Williams led the Golden Eagles with a double-double 13 kills and 13 digs with a team-high three service aces. Setter Brionna Silva tossed 27 assists and libero Danielle Senecal finished with 10 digs.

The Dolphins were led by Samantha Schroeder with 16 kills. Setter Madison Gale recorded 34 assists and libero Alexandra Rio totaled a match-best 18 digs and five service aces.

The Golden Eagles resume Skyline Conference play when they travel to face Farmingdale State on Wednesday, October 23. Game time is set for 6:00 pm.
