Women's Volleyball Sweeps Yeshiva and Baruch

New York, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's volleyball team picked up a pair of wins over Yeshiva University and Baruch College on Sunday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles earned 3-0 sweeps in both matches to improve to 14-11 on the season with a 7-2 Skyline record.

SJC 3, YU 0 (25-16, 25-8, 25-7)

Freshman Lauren Harmer led the Golden Eagles with nine kills while hitting at a .571 clip. Sophomore Amanda Goldstein pitched in with six kills and four service aces.

Junior Kaitlin Williams dished 15 kills with libero Danielle Senecal scooping up seven digs and a game-high 11 aces.

Tehilla Teigman led the Maccabees with four kills and two blocks. Julia Chase finished with three assists and Batya Schreier recorded five digs.

SJC 3, Baruch 0 (25-22, 26-24, 27-25)

Goldstein and Williams led SJC with 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Setter Brionna Silva tossed 42 assists and Senecal finished with 15 digs.

Stella Chung led the Bearcats with 15 kills while Anita Sengara added 11 and 11 digs. Sanaa Soumia Hadjeb recorded 20 assists with Claudia Moi finishing with 14.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Tuesday, October 29 when they travel to take on SUNY Purchase at 7:00 pm.
