Women's Volleyball Powers Past Purchase, 3-0

Purchase, NY| The St. Joseph's College women's volleyball team came away with a 3-0 sweep over SUNY Purchase on Tuesday evening.

The Golden Eagles earned 25-12, 25-11 and 25-11 wins in straight sets to improve to 15-11 on the season with a 7-2 Skyline Conference mark. The Panthers drop to 5-17 overall, 1-10 Skyline.

Junior Jessica Young led SJC with 12 kills from the middle while hitting at a .556 clip. Sophomore Melanie O'Hoppe pitched in with seven kills. Setter Brionna Silva dished 31 assists with libero Danielle Senecal picking up a match-high 12 digs.

Gia Gwin and Pamella Gonzalez paced the Panthers with four kills apiece. Setter Skyla Schoppmeyer recorded 11 assists with Isis Gonzales finishing with 10 digs.

The Golden Eagles wrap up Skyline Conference play on Thursday, October 31 when they travel to face Manhattanville College at 7:00 pm.
