Mark Jensen Earns 4th-Straight Rookie of the Week Honor

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday evening, and amongst the winners was graduate student Mark Jenson who was named Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week for the fourth-straight week.

Additionally, sophomore Clint Johnson (MVB) and seniors Lindsay Ness (SB) and Andrew Brust (MLAX) appeared on Weekly Honor Rolls in their respective sports.

Mark Jenson (Gr.) - Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Jenson knocked down 39 kills while averaging 3.55 kills per set and hit at a .364 clip over three matches for the Golden Eagles. The graduate student added 19 digs, four service aces, and three blocks. He led all players with a 22-kill performance with nine digs in the 3-2 Skyline Conference win over NJCU and is named Rookie of the Week for the fourth-straight week. 

Clint Johnson (So.) - Men's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll
Johnson guided the SJC offense to a 4-0 week with 109 assists over 10 sets, averaging 10.90 assists-per-set last week. The sophomore added five kills, eight digs, and four blocks. He dished 52 assists with seven digs and three blocks in the 3-2 win over NJCU and tossed double-digit assists against SUNY Purchase (23) and CMSV (26). He currently ranks 10th in Div. III and leads the Skyline in assist-per-set (9.41).

Lindsay Ness (Sr.) - Softball Weekly Honor Roll
Ness hit .833 going 5-for-6 in seven plate appearances in two games on Monday and was credited with four singles, one triple, three RBI, and a run. The senior boasted an .857 on-base percentage while slugging at a 1.167 clip. The catcher knocked in the go-ahead run and went 3-for-4 with three RBI in a 9-7 win over Lancaster Bible. She turned in a 2-for-2 showing with a walk and a run scored in the nightcap against Lycoming.

Jack Gilbride (Jr.) - Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll
Gilbride tallied a team-best nine points courtesy of a pair of hat tricks and three assists over two games this week.

Andrew Brust (Sr.) - Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll
Brust compiled a 1-1 record between the pipes for the Golden Eagles turning away 28 of the 81 shots he faced. The senior became SJC's first goalie in program history to score a goal when his second-quarter tally gave SJC a 5-2 lead in what would become a 14-8 win over The Sage Colleges on Saturday.
