Bio

Andre Venner is a native of Rockland County, New York and joined the St. Joseph’s College Sports Medicine Staff in July of 2019. Venner earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from SUNY Cortland in 2014 and went on to receive his Masters of Science degree in Exercise & Sport Sciences from Ithaca College in 2016 with a concentration in human performance. While at Ithaca, Venner was awarded a graduate assistantship with Cornell University and worked primarily with the Big Red football program for two seasons. 

Prior to joining the staff here at St. Joseph’s College, Venner was an assistant athletic trainer at Kean University during the academic years from 2017 to 2019 where he primarily covered the men’s soccer and lacrosse teams. During the 2016 – 2017 academic year, Venner served as an athletic training resident for the University of Connecticut and worked primarily for the football program along with the men’s and women’s cross country/track & field squads. He also had the opportunity to work with the New York Jets as an intern athletic training student in the summer of 2013 during training camp. 

Venner is an American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid responder for professional rescuers and is licensed in both New York and New Jersey for athletic training services. 

Venner is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association, and New York State Athletic Trainer’s Association. His current team assignments are men’s soccer, swimming, and men’s lacrosse.
