Spencer Malloy Named Skyline Rookie of the Week

New York, NY| The Skyline Conference released its weekly awards on Monday afternoon, and amongst the winners was sophomore Spencer Malloy who was named Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week.

Additionally, graduate student Paul Curaro of the men's volleyball team landed on the Weekly Honor Roll.

Spencer Malloy (So.) - Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Malloy averaged 22.0 points (74.1% FG) and 8.0 rebounds in two games last week (SJC 2-0). The center scored a game-high 27 points on 12-for-14 shooting from the field with seven rebounds in a 64-52 win at SUNY Maritime on Feb. 2. He went on to score a team-high 17 points on 8-for-13 shooting with nine rebounds in a 71-70 comeback win at SJC-Brooklyn on Feb. 5. Malloy earns his third Rookie of the Week accolade this season.

Paul Curaro (Gr.) - Men's Volleyball Player of the Week
Curaro led the Golden Eagles in a 2-0 week with 20 kills and a .471 hitting percentage. The outside hitter averaged four kills-per-set and added three service aces, seven digs, and one block in five sets of action. He had a team-best 12 kills in a 3-0 sweep of Lehman in the opening match of a non-conference tri-match on Feb. 5 before turning in a match-high eight kills in a 3-0 win over Pratt.
