Men's Basketball Trio Grabs End of Season Skyline Awards
New York, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's basketball team collected a trio of end-of-season awards when the Skyline Conference announced its All-Conference teams on Monday morning.
Freshman Alex Tabada was named Rookie of the Year while sophomore Spencer Malloy landed on the All-Conference First-Team. Third-year head coach Michael McSloy was named a Co-Coach of the Year and shared the honor with USMMA's Rob Pryor.
Tabada averaged 13.5 points-per-game this season and finished top-10 in the conference in steals-per-game (1.9), blocks-per-game (1.2), field goal percentage (49.4%), and free throw percentage (66.0%).
The North Babylon, NY native was named ECAC Metro Rookie of the Month for January and earned Skyline Rookie of the Week honors four times this season.
