Men's Golf Finished Fifth at Skyline Championship

Farmingdale, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's golf team finished fifth in a field of seven competing teams at the 2020-21 Skyline Conference Championship at Bethpage Red.

After shooting a team score of 346 (+66) in round one on Monay, SJC posted a round-two score of 347 (+67) for a tournament toal of 693 (+133).

Host Farmingdale State was crownded champion with a two-round score of 6-3 (+43). Mount St. Mary took second place with a team score of 558 (+108).

SJC's top performer was senior Joseph Tantillo (T-11th), who shot an 81 (+11) on Friday, bringing his tournament total to 167 (+27). Junior Patrick Diecidue finished 14th with a two-day total of 170 (+30).

Sophomore Ryan Kayon shot 176 (+36), good for 18th place, while freshman Gavin Melandro (184, +44) and junior Conor Conzone (198, +58) took 24th and 32nd places, respectively.

The Farmingdale State duo of Brad Castaldy and Christopher Iguchi shared individual championship honors.
