Men's Golf Finishes Fourth at Farmingdale Invitational

Farmingdale, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's golf team opened its 2021-22 season with a fourth-place finish at the Farmingdale State Fall Skyline Invitational at Bethpage Blue on Friday.

SJC shot a team score of 353 (+65) and trailed third-place Mount St. Mary by 20 strokes and first-place Farmingdale by 54 strokes.

Senior Patrick Diecidue led the Golden Eagles with a score of 82 (+10) and a 10th-place finish.

Sophomore Gavin Melandro (88, +16) took 17th place while junior Conor Conzone (91, +19) finished in 23rd place.

Junior Ryan Kayton (92, +20) and sophomore Emma Sauer (108, +36) rounded out the SJC scoring contingent in 24th and 31st, respectively. 

The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday, October 1 when they participate in the Mount St. Mary Inviational at The Powelton Club.
