Men's Golf Takes 4th at MSMC Spring Invite

Newburgh, NY| The St. Joseph's University (L.I.) men's golf team took fourth place in a field of eight competing teams at the Mt. St. Mary College Spring Skyline Invitational at the Powelton Club on Monday afternoon.

SJLI's score of 346 was 66 strokes over par and 41 strokes off of first-place Clarkson University (+25).

Ryan Kayton's score of 81 (+11) was a team-best a good for seventh place. 

Gavin Melandro (+16) and Patrick Diecidue (+19) placed 15th and 23rd, respectively.

Jonatha Eckert (+20) and Joseph Clarkin (+29) rounded out the SJLI scorers in 25th and 35th.

Clarkson's Casey Ditzel placed first with a score of 73 (+3).

The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday, April 29, when they compete at the Old Westbury Invitational at Eisenhower Park.
