Patchogue, NY| Senior Tim McCann scored seven times and became the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's lacrosse team's all-time leading scorer in a 21-4 Skyline Conference win over the College of Mount St. Vincent on Tuesday night.

With the win, the Golden Eagles improve to 4-4 overall on the year and 1-1 in Skyline play as the Dolphins drop to 2-8 and 1-3.

McCann added two assists to his seven goals and tallied his record-breaking marker at 9:39 of the third quarter. McCann now has 63 career goals in 35 games played.

Junior Jack Gilbride scored a career-best 10 points on six goals and four assists, while senior Richie Polizzi Jr. dished out five assists, scored once, and scooped up four ground balls.

Junior Tim Bruno won 13 of 14 faceoffs and scooped up a game-best eight ground balls. Four Golden Eagles recorded multiple caused turnovers.

Senior Andrew Brust (W, 4-4) made three saves in the first half and made way for sophomore Connor Van Dusen (3 saves) and freshman Anthony Loiacono (2 saves), who played the third and fourth quarters, respectively.

After scoring the first two goals of the game, SJC conceded the next two, but by the end of the first period it was a 6-2 advantage for the hosts.

Seven more goals in the second quarter extended the lead to 12 goals (14-2) en route to a more than comfortable 21-4 victory.

The Golden Eagles outshot the Dolphins, 60-30, overall and dominated on draws, winning 26 of 29 faceoffs. SJC also held a sizeable advantage in ground balls (48-29).

The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, April 16, when they visit Maritime for a Skyline Conference contest at 1:00 pm.
