Men’s Soccer Surges to 4-1 Win at Sarah Lawrence

Bronxville, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's soccer team secured a 4-1 Skyline Conference victory over Sarah Lawrence on Saturday evening.

With the win, the Golden Eagles improve to 3-5-1 overall on the year and 2-3-1 in Skyline play as the Gryphons drop to 3-8-0 and 1-4-0.

SJC was up 3-0 at the break after Chris Veintimilla, Kyle Plate, and Diego Saravia provided first-half goals.

Chris Cusimano tallied SJC's final mark of the evening in the 50th minute, and Sarah Lawrence's Julian Day wrapped the match's scoring in the 85th minute.

Midfielder James Dacos assisted two SJC goals and Tyler Flaherty made four saves on five shots.

St. Joseph's outshot Sarah Lawrence 16-6 but was edged, 4-3, in corners won.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Tuesday, October 12, when they host Mount St. Mary for a Skyline Conference contest at 7:00 pm.
