Men’s Tennis Downed on Staten Island
Staten Island, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 defeat to the College of Staten Island in a non-conference affair on Saturday afternoon.
The loss sends the Golden Eagles to 1-5 on the year as the Dolphins improve to 5-3 overall.
Junior Kyle Conway and freshman Ryan Freeley fared best for SJC in the doubles competition having taken an 8-6 defeat at second doubles.
Sophomore Damian Duda's 6-4, 0-6, 5-10 loss at fifth singles was St. Joseph's best performance in the singles competition.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Sunday, April 15 when they face Yeshiva University in a Skyline Conference contest at the National Tennis Center (Flushing, NY) at 8:00 pm.
