Men's Tennis Falls to Manhattanville on Saturday
Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Manhattanville College at the SJC Outdoor Field Complex on Saturday.
The loss sends the Golden Eagles to 0-4 on the year as the Valiants improve to 4-1.
Manhattanville swept the doubles matches without dropping a point. SJC's first doubles team of Ryan Freeley and William Vita were forced to retire after dropping the first game of the match.
In singles action, Kenneth Pettersen fared best in a 3-6, 1-6 loss at third singles. Matt Lopez won a game in a 0-6, 1-6 loss at sixth singles.
The Golden Eagles wrap up their season on Monday, May 3 when they host the US Merchant Marine Academy for a Skyline Conference contest at 5:30 pm.
