Men's Tennis Loses to Farmingdale in Skyline First Round

Farmingdale, NY| The St. Joseph's University (L.I.) men's tennis team was defeated, 5-0, by third-seeded Farmingdale State in the first round of the Skyline Conference Championship on Tuesday evening.

The sixth-seeded Golden Eagles, who qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2014, finish the 2022 season with a 3-10 overall record. The Rams improve to 10-5 and advance to the semifinal round.

SJLI dropped all three of the doubles matches with the third doubles duo of Gordon Shouler and Tyler Brock faring best in an 8-1 loss.

Shouler took a game off of Cooper Everett in a 6-0, 6-1 loss at fourth singles. Brock was down 1-6, 2-3 at fifth singles but the match was not finished.
