Men's Volleyball Earns Sweep over Yeshiva

Patchogue, NY| The St. Joseph's College men's volleyball team earn its first Skyline Conference win of the season with a 3-0 sweep of Yeshiva University on Monday evening.

The Golden Eagles improve to 11-7 on the season with a 1-1 mark in conference play. The Maccabees fall to 2-8 overall, 1-3 Skyline.

SJC made quick work of Yeshiva with 25-5, 25-13 and 25-8 wins in straight sets.

Senior David Slager finished with a match-high six kills and nine digs. Senior Matt Cole added five kills while hitting .714 with senior Paul Curaro and freshman Matthew Dolan pitched in with four kills apiece.

Setters Michael Lane and Jason Siriban tossed 18 and nine assists, respectively.

Steven Zelmanovich, Yosef Ajami, and Derek Orenshein all paced the Maccabees with two kills each.

Setter Benjamin Goldstein dished six assists with libero Shimon Ohana scooping up nine digs.

The Golden Eagles return to the Danzi Center on Wednesday, March 8 when they host New Jersey City University at 7:00 PM.
