Men's Volleyball Claims Non-Conference Win over Arcadia, 3-1

Glenside, PA| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's volleyball team picked up a 3-1 non-conference win on the road at Arcadia University on Wednesday evening.

The Golden Eagles improve to 3-1 on the season as the Knights slide to 1-2.

SJC needed extra points to claim a 26-24 win in the opening set before AU evened the match with a 25-22 win in set two. The Golden Eagles bounced back with their highest hitting percentage of the night, .364, to take set three 25-19 before securing the match win with a 26-24 victory in the fourth frame.

Paul Curaro led the Golden Eagles with 17 kills, seven digs, and three aces on the night. Mark Williams pitched in with 12 kills and four digs. Setter Clint Johnson dished 37 assists with six digs. Quinn Foglia knocked down six kills while hitting at a .857 clip.

The Knights were led by a 20-point performance by Dylan Zimmerman with Seany Carlson adding 11. Setters Vaughn McConnell and Anthony Devantier recorded 26 and 20 assists, respectively.

The Golden Eagles return to the Danzi Center on Thursday, January 27 when they host Baruch College at 7:00 pm.
