Men's Volleyball Takes Down Hunter, 3-0

New York, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's volleyball team took down Hunter College 3-0 in a non-conference contest on the road on Tuesday evening.

The Golden Eagles improve to 9-2 on the season as the Hawks slide to 0-4.

SJC jumped to an early match lead with a 25-16 win in set one before edging the Hawks with a 25-23 win in set two and securing the victory by claiming the third set 25-13.

Paul Curaro recorded a match-best 15 kills while hitting at a .500 clip. Mark Williams pitched in with eight kills while picking up seven digs. Setter Clint Johnson dished 22 assists while finishing with seven digs and two blocks. Libero Jason Siriban ended the night with a match-high 10 digs.

The Hawks were led by a 12-kill performance from David Lou with Ted Kim adding six kills. Setter Cooper Moran tossed 26 assists with libero Chris Scandole recording nine digs.

The Golden Eagles return to the Danzi Center on Friday, February 25 when they host Illinois Tech University at 7:00 pm.
