Men's Volleyball Wins Sixth Straight with Sweep at SJC-Brooklyn

Brooklyn, NY| The St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's volleyball picked up its sixth consecutive Skyline Conference win with a 3-0 sweep at St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn on Tuesday evening.

The Golden Eagles stormed to 25-5, 25-4, and 25-15 wins in straight sets improving to 18-3 on the season and they remain perfect with an 8-0 Skyline mark. The Bears slide to 0-12 on the season, 0-9 Skyline.

Mark Jensen was credited with a match-best 11 kills and hit at a .714 clip. Paul Curaro converted 10 of his 12 attempts and Mark Williams knocked down six kills and recorded four aces.

Setter Clint Johnson dished 16 assists and served a match-high five aces. Michael Lane finished with 13 assists and libero Thomas Renick collected four digs.

Matthew Helfant led the Bears with three kills on the night. Setter Alex Helfant recorded four assists and Leonel Bravo picked up four digs. 

The Golden Eagles return to the Danzi Center on Thursday, March 24, and host Sarah Lawrence College at 7:00 pm.
