Curaro Named AVCA Northeast All-Region

Lexington, KY| Graduate Student Paul Curaro of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) men's volleyball team was named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Div. III Northeast All-Region as announced on Tuesday.

Curaro becomes the program's first AVCA All-Region selection on the heels of a Skyline Conference Player of the Year honor and his fifth All-Conference recognition.

The outside hitter led the team in total kills (323) and kills-per-set (3.71) and was fourth in hitting percentage (.310). The Holbrook, NY native led the Skyline and is fifth nationally in aces (75) and aces per set (0.86). This season, he broke his own SJC single-season kills and aces record.

The Golden Eagles captured their third Skyline Conference title with a 3-2 win over New Jersey City University and will face Southern Virginia in the first round of the NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Tournament on Friday, April 15 at 4:00 pm.
