The opening set was closely played in the early points before the Golden Eagles began to pull away midway through reaching the 20-point mark first. The visitors would finish strong for the 25-17 win

The Rangers inched to within one, 22-21, late in set two, but St. Joseph's claimed the final three points for a 25-21win

Ahead 17-11 in the third, the Golden Eagles went on to finish the match on an 8-0 run that included three service aces from Williams and took the set 25-11
