The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's volleyball picked up a pair of Skyline Conference wins on Saturday in the Danzi Center.

Top Performers

• Sophomore Logan Meyer led the Golden Eagles with six kills and six digs 

• Freshman Mike Golaszeki pitched with five kills while hitting at .571 clip

• Setter CJ Johnson dished 17 assists with three kills

• CMSV's Kyle Thompson knocked down a game-high nine kills with Terence Strehle adding seven kills. Setter Pat Ilardi dished 19 assists with six digs

How it happened

• Set one saw the Golden Eagles leading wire to wire knocking down 10 kills to CMSV's five to come away with a 25-15 win

• A closely played second set had both teams within three points of each other throughout. Tied at 23, a kill from SJLI's Meyer followed by a service ace from Will Loeven edged the Dolphins 25-23

• The Golden Eagles had their best showing in set three hitting .318 as a team en route to a 25-15 win

Top Performers

• Meyers led the Golden Eagles with a double-double 12 kills and 11 digs

• Senior Tyler Anderson was 8-for-10 at the net with a couple blocks

• Freshman setter Dominic Ruggiero tossed 22 assists 

• Purchase's Marcus Garguilo finished four kills and four digs. Idris Idris recorded 10 assists and five digs

How it happened

• The Golden Eagles claimed their second sweep of the day holding the Panthers to a -.116 hitting percentage taking 25-10, 25-13, and 25-14 wins in straigh sets.

Next up, the Golden Eagles will travel to SUNY Purchase for a Skyline Conference contest on Thursday, March 16 at 7:00 pm.
