Men's Volleyball Secures Ninth Straight Conference Victory With 3-0 Sweep over St. Joseph's Brooklyn

The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's volleyball secured another Skyline Conference victory with a 3-0 sweep over St. Joseph's Brooklyn on Thursday evening. 

Top Performers

• Sophomore Logan Meyer led the Golden Eagles with a game-high seven kills while adding three digs and one block solo

• Freshman Mike Golaszeki contributed four kills on five attempts, four service aces, and two digs

• Freshman Dominic Ruggiero provided SJLI with a game-high 19 assists, two service aces, four digs, one block assist, and one kill 

• Senior Pat Stevenson totaled four digs with two block solos and two block assists while recording two kills on two attempts 

How it happened

• SJLI started the game off strong scoring 13 straight points in the first set, allowing the Golden Eagles to claim the first set, 25-6

• The second saw Meyer and Golaszeki score points in bunches for St. Joseph's L.I. as again the Golden Eagles defeated the Bears, 25-6 in the second set

• The Bears were able to put together double-digits in the third set but were unable to hold off the Golden Eagles who claimed set 3, 25-11

Notes

• The Golden Eagles tallied 26 kills compared to the Bears' 3 kills

• SJLI recorded 21 assists as SJBK recorded just three assists 

• St. Joseph's L.I. had 14 services aces while St. Joseph's Brooklyn had two service aces
