Men's Volleyball Picks Up Another Conference Victory on Senior Night

The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's volleyball team secured another conference victory with a 3-0 sweep over Sarah Lawrence College on Tuesday evening. Seniors Quinn Foglia, Pat Stevenson, Jason Siriban, and Will Loeven were all honored in a pre-game ceremony. 

Top Performers

• Foglia led the Golden Eagles with a game-high seven kills 

• Junior Mark Williams paced the team with six kills and a game-high seven service aces 

• Junior CJ Johnson totaled three kills and had game-highs 14 assists and five digs 

• Siriban recorded five kills, one service ace, and two digs on the night 

• Stevenson and Loeven contributed five and three kills respectively with Loeven adding one dig

• Felix Massey of the Gryphons provided a team-high five kills, one service ace, and one dig 

How it happened

• The Golden Eagles claimed the first set with their best hitting percentage of the game with .529 percentage, with Foglia and Stevenson combining for six kills 

• In the second set, St. Joseph's jumped out to a 13-3 lead over the Gryphons highlighted by Williams' four service aces in a row to help claim the second set 25-9

• The seniors would help close out the game for SJLI as Siriban, Foglia, Loeven, and Siriban all combined for 13 kills in the final set giving St. Joseph's the victory 25-17

Notes

• The Golden Eagles combined for 34 kills compared to the Gryphon's 12 

• SJLI totaled 13 service aces while SLC had just one

• Sarah Lawrence compiled 15 digs with St. Joseph's accumulating 22
