The St. Joseph's University, New York (L.I.) men's volleyball remains unbeaten in Skyline Conference play with a 3-0 sweep at New Jersey City University on Thursday evening. 

Top Performers

• Senior Tyler Anderson and junior Mark Williams paced the Golden Eagles with 11 kills apiece. Andersson added eight digs and five blocks

• Junior CJ Johnson tossed a match-best 29 assists and finished with a team-high 10 digs. The setter added four kills and three aces

• NJCU's James Bajor knocked down seven kills and setter Leo Ferrari recorded 25 assists

How it happened:

• The Gothic Knights put up their strongest fight in the first set, but the Golden Eagles managed to lead wire to wire to claim the 25-21 win

• St. Joseph's served eight aces and finished with five total blocks to cruise to a 25-12 win in set two

• Set three was played closely with NJCU within one, 11-10, just about midway through, but the Golden Eagles pulled away for the 25-17 win

Notes

• The Golden Eagles tallied 40 kills compared to NJCU's 29

• SJLI recorded 11 total blocks as the Gothic Knights finished with zero

• St. Joseph's L.I. had 10 services aces while New Jersey City had just one
