Adomaites Earns D3Hoops.com All-Region Honors

Patchogue, NY| Junior Alyssa Adomaites of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's basketball team was named to the D3Hoops.com Third-Team as announced on Tuesday morning.

Just weeks after landing on the Skyline All-Conference First-Team, Adomaites picked up All-Region honors for the first time in her career after she led the Golden Eagles, as well as the Skyline in scoring, and her 22.9 points per game, was good for fourth in the Division III national rankings.

Shooting 43% from the field, the guard totaled 550 points breaking the SJC single-season scoring record and on February 9, her 44 points against St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn broke the SJC single-game scoring record.

Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors at the various schools, and schools and conferences were each contacted multiple times as the season wound down to remind them to make their players eligible. There were 746 players nominated nationwide. The ballot was then made available to SIDs, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region.
