Jersey City, NJ| Junior Abbey Curcio scored twice in the second half in St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's soccer team's 2-1 non-conference win over New Jersey City University on Sunday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles improve to 2-1 on the season as the Gothic Knights move to 0-2-2.
Both sides managed seven shots apiece in the first half, but it wasn't until the 80th minute when Curcio took a pass from Sienna Martinez and found the back of the net putting SJC up 1-0. Just under five minutes later, Curcio struck again this time connecting with senior Gianna Castilletti for a 2-0 lead.

The Golden Eagles outshot NJCU 15-11 with the Gothic Knights holding a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
St. Joseph's returns to Danzi Stadium on Wednesday 15 when they host William Paterson for a non-conference matchup at 7:00 pm.
