Women's Soccer Lands Three on Skyline All-Conference Teams

New York, NY| Three members of the St. Joseph's College (L.I.) women's soccer team were named to the Skyline All-Conference teams as announced by the Conference on Monday afternoon.

Junior midfielder Abbey Curcio landed on the First-Team with sophomore Yojaira Vasquez and freshman Brooke Esposito named to the Second-Team.

Curcio led the Golden Eagles and finished fourth in the conference with 26 points on a team-best nine goals and eight assists. The midfielder was named Skyline Offensive Player of the Week twice this season and landed in the top three of the conference averaging just over five shots per game.

Esposito wrapped up her freshman campaign second on the Golden Eagles with 23 points. The forward tallied seven goals and came in third in the Skyline with nine assists.

Vasquez led the Golden Eagles defense that allowed a stingy 1.28 goals-against average with four shutouts. The defender also provided eight points on four goals including a hat trick against Brooklyn College.

The Golden Eagles entered the Skyline Conference Championship (9-6-0, 6-4-0 Skyline), as the No. 4 seed before ending their season at the hands of the fifth-seeded College of Mt. St. Vincent 2-0 in the first round.
